Nothing(3a) Series on March 4

British tech company Nothing has made the official release announcement of their new smartphone lineup, the Phone (3a) series, on March 4, 2025. The launch event will occur on the day at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at 10 AM GMT (3:30 PM IST).

The Phone (3a) lineup is rumored to have two options: the standard Phone (3a) and the Phone (3a) Pro. They are both going to have a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and will utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. The Pro model is going to differentiate itself with an exclusive half-spiral camera design, with a 50MP periscope lens that will provide 3x optical zoom, while the base model will have a horizontal camera structure with a 2x telephoto lens. In a recent marketing video, Nothing demonstrated the Phone (3a)’s camera capabilities by pitting its 50MP periscope camera against the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The video touts the Phone (3a)’s 3x optical zoom and up to 60x “ultra zoom” for macro shots, highlighting its AI-based tone mapping and scene detection capabilities.

Innovatively, Nothing organized an unboxing of the Phone (3a) with a humanoid robot named NeoGamma, created by Norwegian tech firm 1X. The ceremony gave a close-up overview of the phone’s design and capabilities, generating hype before the product’s official release.

The Phone (3a) line is positioned as a more affordable alternative, looking to provide a high-end user experience without the premium price. In the days leading up to the March 4 launch, buyers can look for more information on specifications, price, and availability.
