New Delhi, May 12, 2025 — Delivering a strong and assertive national address on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about grave issues like national security, terrorism, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), economic growth, and empowering youth. The address is timely, being made at a time of increased geopolitical tensions and ongoing interest in India’s development journey.
???? Strong Stand on PoK and Terrorism
One of the most striking parts of the speech was PM Modi’s clear and assertive remarks on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He reiterated the government’s unwavering stance on reclaiming the territory, calling PoK an “integral part of India.” He emphasized that the people of PoK “are waiting to be reunited with the nation,” and hinted that significant diplomatic and strategic steps are underway.
“PoK is not a piece of territory—rather, it is a part of our soul, our legacy, and our fate. Those voices who are emerging from there talk of their aspirations to be within the democratic fold of India,” Modi said.
On terrorism, PM Modi delivered a firm message to those who are trying to destabilize India. He asserted that India will continue targeting the roots of terrorism—be it internal or cross-border—without permitting any experiment on national unity and integrity.
“The days of weak reaction are over. India will respond in strength, strategy, and unity,” he asserted.
???? Development, Economy, and Welfare
Looking into India’s growth economically, PM Modi welcomed recent progress in Indian manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and clean energy. New economic packages to help spur rural growth and aid startups in the sectors of AI and clean energy were announced.
He further emphasized on the reform of welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, and Skill India with special consideration given to catering to the remotest regions in the country. Specific importance was placed on engaging young people in job creation, education, and entrepreneurial development.
???? Vision for 2047
PM Modi concluded his address by referring to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047. He urged the people to stay united, well-informed, and involved in co-creating the future of the country.
“Let the motto go out from all corners of the country—yes, even from PoK—thus: we are one nation, one people, one destiny,” he said.
